Similan Islands Diving Liveaboard on MV Oktavia

Our Similan Islands Diving Liveaboard cruises are famous for providing the best diving in Thailand and offering outstanding snorkeling among those in-the-know. Unlike other snorkeling and diving destinations in Thailand, the National Parks are open for only seven months of the year, from October 15 through to May 15, in an attempt to preserve the sites from unnecessary damage and also because the low season monsoon does not allow for safe or comfortable cruising during the closed season.

MV Oktavia Snorkeling Liveaboard

We’re very proud of our snorkel cruises on board MV Oktavia and insist that you receive exactly the same amount of care and attention as we provide to our diving guests. Our expert and passionate snorkel guide will ensure you get to see many wonderful sea creatures whilst snorkeling around the Similan Islands, and in many cases more than the divers below. The sighting of our larger pelagic friends like the manta rays or whale sharks are often cruising around no deeper than 10 meters, and often much shallower, so you won’t miss out on anything and can expect an incredible experience if we are all lucky enough to have one of these gentle giants join us during our cruise.
When we are snorkeling we tend to stay away from the hustle of the day trip boats so we will often drop into deeper waters and head toward the land. This can sometimes be unnerving for a few of our guests but the rewards can be endless and our wonderful guide will always be there with you in the water and dingy support as you build your confidence.
